What to shoot when the leaves have fallen

- As you're walking around, looking at a forest of beautiful fall color, you can't forget to look down. The floor itself is incredible. Now, you remember I mentioned that you may miss peak, and you may get to a location later than ideal? Well, let me tell you a quick story about this image here. I was in Lake Tahoe in mid-November. Fall, I thought, was all but done. And I was okay with that. I was there to photograph Bonsai Rock and Emerald Bay State Park. And I'm walking and hiking around and it starts to snow. I'm like, oh that's, you know, I'm at a high elevation mid-November. That's nothing, nothing weird about that. And I see an Aspen tree, and it has just one or two leaves on it. And I thought, "How amazing that it still has leaves." And at the base of that tree was this scene here. The most brilliant display of colorful aspen leaves I could ever imagine. And as it started to snow, I was a little bit frantic. I gotta get this shot before it's completely covered up. And I made…
