So the first question I'd like to answer is what exactly is the Adobe Creative Cloud? Well, the Adobe Creative Cloud is a membership service that gives you access to all of the Creative Suite applications on a subscription basis. So for a monthly fee, you get access to all the Creative Suite applications that you can download and install on your computer at any time. Now you maybe asking yourself why you'd want to do that versus buying the boxed product. Well there are several benefits that you get from the Creative Cloud service that you don't get when you buy the boxed product.
For one, you get additional features with a Creative Cloud subscription. Such as 20 gigabytes of online storage, where you can store your files for safe keeping. Adobe also introduced a new feature called the Creative Cloud Connection, that syncs a folder on your computer to the Creative Cloud automatically. You also get the ability to share files in the Creative Cloud with other users. This is great for sharing files seamlessly, without the need to email files or copy them to physical media. You also get integration with the Adobe Touch apps for tablet devices. One of the biggest benefits of the Creative Cloud is that Adobe can add new features to the Creative Cloud versions of products and you get them right away. You don't have to wait for the next major release of the software. Users who purchase the box product of the Creative Suite do not get this benefit until the next major release of the Creative Suite. Finally, with the Creative Cloud, Adobe is planning to add additional services and features as part of the subscription which makes this service incredibly valuable to creative professionals.
I hope you now have a better understanding of what the Creative Cloud is, and how it affects you as an Adobe product user. I think once you experience the Creative Cloud membership, you'll really value the service that it provides.
