Welcome
- [Nigel] Hi, I'm Nigel French. Welcome to Photoshop Type Essentials. Historically, type has been the achilles heel of Photoshop but these days Photoshop has sophisticated type tools and options similar to those you may be familiar with in Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator. In this course I'll cover the basics of working with type in Photoshop. We'll look at choosing character formats and paragraph formats. Things like sizing type, aligning type, and applying typographic conventions like leading, kerning and tracking. We'll also understand specific Photoshop conventions like working with type layers and the difference between point text and paragraph text. We'll finish up with a look at some simple but effective type treatments all of which allow you to keep your type editable. Let's get started.
