Learn how to use Photoshop's chalk and pastel brushes to create convincing dry media artwork, and optimize the settings for digital drawing and painting.
- Welcome to Pastel Drawing in Photoshop. I'm John Derry, and in this course, I will show you how you can take advantage of these tool presets to create fine pastels. When reaching for a brush, most Photoshop users will head to the brush presets panel. In this course, we'll cover tool presets many users don't even know exist. Using a Wacom tablet, we'll take a look at brush performance, tilt control, using erodable tips, plus texture selection and adjustment.
Then, we'll put it all together by sketching and using the pastel brushes to detail and create a beautiful still life. Just think, pastels without the dust. Now, let's get started with Pastel Drawing in Photoshop.
- Customizing brush performance, tilt, and pressure response
- Using surface texture
- Roughing out the sketch
