- Hi, this is Jan Kabili, welcome to Photo Tools Weekly.…In this episode, we're going to talk about…watermarking your photos.…I know a lot of photographers are concerned…about protecting their photos,…particularly when they're sharing them online,…and watermarking is one way that you can do that.…But, the downside of watermarking…is that if a watermark is too obtrusive, it can really…interfere with your viewers enjoying your photos.…So, I think the solution is to make…your own graphic watermarks,…and you can do that in a program like Photoshop…so that you can control how tasteful…and how unobtrusive they are, and then you can bring them…into Lightroom and apply the same watermark…to multiple photos as you export photos…for sharing online or in other ways.…
So, I'm starting here in Photoshop,…where I've created a couple of simple logo watermarks.…If you take a look at the Layers panel,…you can see that this one is just a black Background…with a couple of type layers on top of it.…Now you can make text based watermarks…
