Using textures for people photography

- While the eyes are the windows to the soul, and there's no substitute for a compelling portrait that reveals something about its subject, the truth is that many pictures of people can be quite boring. So, textures to the rescue. Textures can help. You have to take a little bit of care with textures, though. Not every texture is right for people. You wanna use textures that are gentle and not harsh looking, and you probably, for the most part, don't wanna use textural enhancements to work portraits of people who are busy at corporate jobs. This tends to be something more appropriate for environmental portraits of people who are okay with interpretive work that makes them look different and good. You also want to be careful about texturizing body parts that people are sensitive of, particularly in the face. The eyes are something that generally should not be over textured as are lips as well.
