Using photo filters with black-and-white photos

In the next couple of movies I want to talk about how we can use Photo Filters in order to improve our images. In this movie, we'll be working on the file, corwig_nick. Double-click that one to open it up in Photoshop. F to go to Full Screen View mode. Let's close this Color panel here. So we can focus in on our Adjustments and our Layers palette. Okay, now with the Adjustments, what we're interested in doing is clicking on this option here, which is Photo Filter. That will then open up our Photo Filter. Now if you've been a photographer for a while, you've probably shot with film and you know that when you shot with film, you use filters. You put them on the front of the lens in order to have an effect on the image. Now in this case, we're simulating an 85A Warming Filter. There are other Warming Filters here as well. You'll notice that as I choose these different Filters, the color is being updated here.
