Join Ryan Kittleson for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the exercise files, part of Photoshop: 3D Printing.
If you are a premium member of the lynda.com library, you have excess to the exercise files used throughout this course. The exercise files are organized by chapter inside the exercise files folder, simply go to the chapter of the video you're currently in and inside there you'll find a folder that corresponds to each video of the chapter. Inside the video folder, you'll find the file that you should open up in Photoshop. If you don't have access to the exercise files, you can follow along from scratch or with your own assets.
Let's get started.
In this course, Ryan Kittleson shows you how to import 3D models or create your own right inside Photoshop. You can use texture maps, opacity maps, and bump maps to define the details and then export the models in print-ready formats. The finished models can then be printed at home or through a service like Shapeways.
