Using Liquify to reshape an image

- [Instructor] An easy way to reshape an object is to use the liquefy filter. In this image I want to reshape the clock, but not the background. So it's going to be easier if I select the clock and copy it to its own layer. I'll tap the M key to select the marquee tool. I have the elliptical marquee tool selected and I'll click and drag out a selection around the clock. If I need to reposition the point of origin, I can hold down the space bar and reposition it and then just drag out a little bit further. I want to make sure that I get the entire clock and the reflection. I'd rather have too much information than too little. Then I'll use the keyboard shortcut command J on Mac control J on Windows. That's going to make a copy on its own layer. Then in order to make a non-destructive transformation I will right click and then convert this to a smart object.
