Join Chris Orwig for an in-depth discussion in this video Using Liquify to change shape, part of Photoshop CS5: Fashion Retouching Projects.
Another technique that you can use when working on dimension is to use the Liquefy tool.…For the Liquefy tool, again what we are going to want to do is merge to top.…Press Shift+Option+Command+E on a Mac, Shift+Alt+Ctrl+E on Windows, and…let's name this shape 2.…Next, we'll go to Filter. Here we'll choose Liquefy.…Now in the Liquefy dialog, what we want to do is have a real low Brush Density…and a real low Brush Pressure, and our Brush Size will change depending on what…we are going to do here, but with this lower Brush Density and Pressure, we can…make really small changes and here what I am doing is just kind of pushing the…arm in just a little bit over there, again, just trying to add to this…overall change that we are making here.…
I am also going to go into this area and I just want to bring in the dress a…little bit as well over here.…What's going to happen as I bring in this dress is it's going to affect the…arm too, so I want to just be cognizant of that and see how it's affecting the arm there.…
