Using Field Blur to sharpen focus area (CC 2014)
In the previous movie, we are introduced to the topic of working, with Field Blur. Well, in this movie, we're going to continue our conversation about that topic. But here, we're going to do a workflow, which is a bit more advanced, which we'll start off by applying Field Blur. Then we'll look at how we can sharpen just the area of focus, in the photograph. This is a photograph of my sister and her family. And let's duplicate the layer. The background layer for this photograph, by clicking and dragging it to the new layer icon. And lets name this new layer, Field Blur. Next, we'll navigate to the Filter pull down menu. Here we'll choose, Blur Gallery. Then Field Blur. Again that's Filter, Blur Gallery, and Field Blur. We copy the background layer because this will give us some flexibility and will help out with our work flow when it comes to sharpening.
