Use a shape as a clipping mask

- [Instructor] In this example I'd like to create this simple composition. And we start with this image which also has some type and also this image of a hummingbird. Now in order to use the hummingbird as a silhouette I am first of all going to trace it in Illustrator. I could place the image in Illustrator but since all I intend to do is make a simple silhouette and because I don't need the flowers I'm just going to make a simple selection of the portion of the image that I need and then copy this, switch over to Illustrator and paste it. Now I'll come to Image Trace, come to my Image Trace panel and move the threshold slider nearly all the way to the right. In the Advanced options I'll choose to ignore white and then Expand the result. Now when I zoom in we see that we have this one small area of white that I'm just going to select with my Direct Selection tool and delete. Now I could save this but I'm going to be lazy, I'm just going to select it, copy it, switch back to Photoshop…
