Use the Path Blur filter

- [Narrator] In this movie I'm going to look at an obvious use of the path blur filter, giving some motion to these cyclists, and a less obvious, making this into an abstract image. Let's begin with the obvious. I'll come to my layers panel and right click to the right of the layer name to convert my background layer to a smart object. So I'm going to go to the filter menu, blur gallery, half blur. And I need to start by pulling my path blur in the direction of their motion. So this is the start of the blur, this is the end and I'm going to spin that around. And manipulate this into position. Currently I have a centered blur which means that it's blurring the pixels on both sides. I'm going to take that off, don't want that so I'm going to increase the speed now. And with the start of my blur I want the end point speed to zero. With the end of my blur I'm going to increase the end point speed. Obviously I don't want to go too far in this case.
