Triangle crop overlay - Photoshop Tutorial
From the course: Photoshop for Designers: Designing with Grids and Guides
Triangle crop overlay
- [Instructor] The fourth of my crop grid overlays in Photoshop is known as triangles. I'll press C to come to my Crop Tool, that will put a cropping rectangle around the image, and then click on the image to see the crop grid overlay. If necessary, cycle through the overlays by pressing O. So this one is triangles. This grid has two orientations. If I press Shift + O, I can switch those orientations. I'm going to switch to Illustrator just to indicate how this is created, but what we need here is a line that goes from one corner to the other, and then perpendicular to that diagonal we have a line that intersects with the corner here, and another that intersects with the bottom left corner. So switching over to Illustrator, I'm in the same document I was in in the previous movie, but on a second artboard which is blank, and here I'm in landscape orientation. So I will choose my Line Tool, and from the top left, drag down a line to bottom right. I'm just going to zoom out a little bit…
