Join Timothy Sexton for an in-depth discussion in this video Tone down; don't take away, part of Photoshop Retouching: Skin.
Lets start by cleaning the obvious distraction,s only this time more…selectively on what we take away and what we merely tone down.…Before we start with the hard retouching, let's do…a little color bouncing to get us in the way.…So let's just zoom in to this nose right here…and we're just going to tone this red down a little bit.…So it's going to quick mask by hitting Q, and let's hit B for brush.…And we'll just increase that size hitting the right…bracket, and we'll just check our settings over here and…it's a nice soft brush transfer.…I'll just lightly paint in these areas where these…the red is just a little bit too saturated.…
Okay.…Now let's exit quick mask by hitting Q.…And now using Selective Color by using our quick key option Cmd+V, we'll…bring that up, hit OK, and let's just dial this magenta down a little bit.…Okay,…and then we're actually going to add a little bit of…yellow into it as well, so we don't weaken that color.…And just about there is okay.…Okay, great.…So let's just hide that away and pan out, and just turn it on and off, and see.…
