Taking photos to make a plant impression image
- For our next impression, we're here at a botanical garden focusing on plants and flowers. Now, they make wonderful impressions because it's a very common subject when it comes to painting. You think about all the vases with flowers, for example, historically, you've seen. So, it's just a wonderful way to incorporate photography and take it to that painting side through posts, which we'll see after we go ahead and photograph this plant. Now, I think people sometimes get zeroed in on the flowers, and I love flowers. They're incredible gorgeous, but sometimes it's the plants that catch my eye, and this one in particular. What I love about it is the color variation from green to pink, and a little bit of everything in between. So, I find the colors to be subtle and equally stunning. I also love the patterns. I'm a sucker for patterns in nature, and I'm always looking for patterns. This has a wonderful overlapping pattern from the base kind of moving up. It's also very clean. When you…
