Solution: Improving an aerial photograph
- [Voiceover] Welcome back to the solution movie. When I captured this image it was really exciting. The door of the helicopter was open, I was hanging out, the wind was howling and gusting, yet when I look at the image, it just feels a little too soft. It needs contrast, it needs depth, it needs color and tone. So for me, I would start off by looking at working with color balance and then changing the layer blending mode to soft light. And I almost always know in situations like this it's gonna really help. So here, let me choose that. Rather than hue saturation, let me click on color balance. With color balance I'm gonna go ahead and bring in some color here, and even if the color is over the top, that's okay. A lot of the ocean is dark, so I'm gonna go into my shadows as well and darken those up. These controls may need to be adjusted, no biggie. Simply jump down here, go to soft light in order to see how it's going, and actually I think I got kind of lucky, but here I might go…
