Join Jan Kabili for an in-depth discussion in this video Snapseed: Selective editing on your phone with masks, part of Photo Tools Weekly (2015).
- Hi, this is Jan Kabili with another…episode of Photo Tools Weekly.…Snapseed is Google's photo editing app for iOS…and Android devices that's a favorite of serious…photographers, pros and amateurs alike.…In this episode we're going to look at a really useful,…but kind of hard to discover local adjustment…tool in the latest version of Snapseed.…It's a special brush called a stack brush that allows you…to paint any of Snapseed's tools…or filters onto just part of a photo.…You can use this feature to get really specific about…targeting your edits in Snapseed or to get creative with…where you place effects, like grunge,…black and white, and other filters.…
So here I have a photo open in Snapseed on my iPhone.…I shot this photo in the south of France.…The light was amazing that day, but it was different light…on the background than on the foreground so this image…calls for different treatment in those two areas.…To do that, here in Snapseed I'll first apply global edits…that affect the entire image and then I'll limit those edits…
