Join Deke McClelland for an in-depth discussion in this video Smoothing your brushstrokes, part of Photoshop CC 2018 New Features.
- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll demonstrate…one of my favorite new features in Photoshop,…and that's the program's ability to…automatically smooth out your herky-jerky brush strokes.…And, by way of demonstration, I'm going to create a new layer…here inside the Layers panel by pressing cmd+shift+n.…That would be ctrl+shift+n on PC.…And I'll just call this layer Paint,…and then press the Enter key.…All right, now I'm going to go ahead…and switch to the brush tool,…and by the way, this option is available to us…when using the brush tool, the pencil tool,…the mixer brush, and the eraser tool.…
All right, so I'll select the brush tool,…which you can get by pressing the B key,…and I'll right click inside the image window,…and I'll go ahead and twirl open General Brushes right here,…and I'll scroll down to this guy,…Hard Round Pressure Size,…because I will be painting with a Wacom tablet.…All right, now notice this smoothing option up here.…It hasn't been here before, so it's brand new.…I'm going to go ahead and take it down to zero percent,…
