- All right, so we've got a sharper version of the image.…But it's pretty clunky-looking, as well.…You can see that we have these blocky transitions,…almost as if we blew up some pixels…and then drew kind of diagonal lines between them,…which is largely what we've done so far, in fact.…As it just so happens the best way to smooth out…these transitions is to apply one of the most basic filters…in all of Photoshop, median on a channel by channel basis.…
Let me show you why.…I'm gonna switch over to the Channels panel,…which you can also get, if you like,…by choosing the Channels command from the Window menu.…Notice that in addition to the red, green and blue channels,…we have this Filter Mask.…If you want to get rid of it, as I do,…then just go ahead and click on it to select it…and then drop down to the little trash icon,…and to avoid any kind of alert message, Alt-click on it…or Option-click on it on the Mac.…That will get rid of that Filter Mask…not only here inside the Channels panel…but over here inside the Layers panel as well.…
