Smart Guides and Snap To options

- [Instructor] To aid us in our alignment of elements on our artboard or our canvas, we have Smart Guides and Snap To options. So first of all, I am going to turn on the grid for this document, command or control + apostrophe. I have a 1024 by 768 document, and I have a grid at 100-pixel increments. I'll choose my Rectangle tool. And if we come to the View menu, I have Snap turned on, and I'm snapping to my guides, my grid, and my layers. Relevant to me at the moment is the grid. So I'm going to draw myself a rectangle right there which snaps to that grid. I'll now switch to my Move tool, and I'm going to duplicate that rectangle by holding down the option or alt key and the shift key and drag away from it. And at this point, I see my Smart Guides in magenta, indicating the distance between those two elements. I'll now duplicate object number two, and we see that we have the Smart Guides once again, telling me that the distance between object two and three is the same as that between…
