Should all selections be perfect?

- In some cases creating an accurate selection is incredibly simple, and in other cases it might take a little bit of work, but that raises a fair question of just how accurate, how perfect do your selections need to be? Well, in large part that depends on how strong your adjustments are going to be. In other words when you select a particular area of the photo, is that adjustment that you apply, whether it's a creative filter, lightening, darkening, changing the color, whatever that might be, is it gonna be a strong effect or a somewhat subtle effect? It's also worth keeping in mind that it in some cases is much easier to fine tune the result of your selection rather than the selection itself. So taking a look at an example here, I have this Lilac-breasted Roller, and I'm going to create a selection of the sky very quickly and easily in this case, and the question is how accurate is that selection really?
