Shortcuts for copying layers and layer style effects

In the previous installment in this series, Photoshop for photographer's fundamentals, we introduced how to work with layers. Here, I want to build upon what we already know, and dig a bit deeper. And in this movie in particular, I want to talk about how we can start to duplicate or copy layers. And I also want to take a look at a few shortcuts that we can use in order to duplicate or copy Layer Style effects from one layer to another. Alright. Well, here in the layers panel, you can see that we have multiple layers. Let's go ahead and click in the top layer, which is the text layer here. Now, we've already talked about a few techniques that you can use in order to duplicate or copy a layer. Let me first review what we already know. We can click into a layer, and click and drag it to the new layer icon, and that will give us a copy version of that layer. So, now we have two versions of this text layer.
