Shooting the sunrise
- It's a frosty 14 degrees right before sunrise. We're in my favorite location in the Palouse. I have more images from this spot than any other location in the world in my portfolio. I love this place. The sun's gonna be rising shortly and we're gonna get incredible, low sunlight across these hills. The best light in the Palouse is typically the 10 minutes, 10 to 15 minutes as the sun's rising. I mean this is what it's all about and as a landscape photographer, it is so crucial to make whatever sacrifice you need, whether it's being here in the freezing cold or waking up early or driving a long distance, whatever it takes to get the shot. Ya know, and this is what it's all about here. So, we had to go up a pretty steep hill with a kind of off-trail hike to this location. It's one of my favorite locations, but it's not well known. So, this is great. So, we're here, just us, all alone. We're at the perfect elevation in order to get the depth of these hills. We talked about, in a…
