- When we think of fall photography, there are locations that really come to mind, especially in North America where I live, you have New England, Colorado and the Aspens, and you see this theme that goes through of a lot of peoples' minds. I've got to get into New England, I've got to get to Colorado, gotta get to Zion, and we get these iconic locations and these ideas of what really represents fall color. The first point that I really want to make for you is that it's probably in your own backyard. Fall color is so common, and we often get lost in the fact that if we just look outside, we'll find it. Now, I live in Seattle, Washington, and Washington is commonly referred to as the evergreen state, because it's so lush and green, and yet I spend a lot of time shooting fall color in the Pacific Northwest, so I'd like to take you through a couple of examples to show you exactly what I'm talking about.
