- In this movie, we're gonna sharpen the detail…inside of this photograph and we're gonna do so…not using standard sharpening features,…such as Unsharp Mask or Smart Sharpen.…Instead, we're gonna use a highly experimental filter…that was introduced in Photoshop CS6,…known as Shake Reduction.…Sometimes it works.…Sometimes it doesn't.…In the case of this image, it works exceedingly well.…Now notice if I zoom in here on the fish's face,…you can see that we've got some motion blur.…
Now contrast this to standard camera shake…where the subject is still but the camera moves…slightly during a long exposure.…Instead, what we have here is a fish in motion…and a camera moving along with it,…albeit, a little slower than the fish.…And you can see this motion blur like crazy…in the background, but it's evident…inside the fish as well.…And so the best way to sharpen this image…is gonna be with Shake Reduction.…Now, we already have a smart object…by virtue of the fact that we created this smart object…from Camera Raw so we could apply Shake Reduction…
