- [Deke] Alright, in this chapter we're going to take a look at how to best manage your photographs inside of Lightroom. And this is all with an eye toward the traveling photographer, so this is the kind of stuff you'll want to do on the road. Now, I happen to be personally terrible at this. I still have a few underwater photographs sitting around on my SD card, and so I'm going to turn this over to Hergen. - [Hergen] Thanks Deke. So, in this video we're going to talk about setting up a catalog and importing our photos into Lightroom. So by default, Lightroom likes to create a catalog on the hard drive of our computer. Now personally, I don't like working off of the hard drive of my computer when it comes to photos because if something were to happen to your laptop, well, you'd basically lose all your images or at least access to them for a little while. By using an external hard drive, if there were to be an issue, we could simply take that drive, plug it into another computer that…
