Set breakpoints
- [Instructor] Responsive web design responds to the needs of the users and the devices that they're using. The layout changes based on the size and the capabilities of the device. For example, on a phone, users would see content shown in a single column view. A tablet might show the same content in two columns. Breakpoints are the point at which your website content layout will change to provide the user with the best possible layout to consume the information. More likely than not, when you first begin to work with responsive design, you'll define your breakpoints at the exact device widths that you're looking to target. Most often, these are a smartphone, a tablet, and finally a desktop or laptop computer, but this is not really the best method of designing. Instead of being concerned with device breakpoints, the best practice is to design for your smallest viewport first.
