- In this movie, I'll show you how to select…and enhance a smooth detail inside Photoshop,…specifically we're gonna enhance the fish's eye.…Now, you might say, "Wait a second, Deke,…"we already enhanced a fish's eye…"back in the previous chapter."…Well, we're gonna be doing it differently this time around.…This eye's a little more complicated,…so instead of using a vector based path outline,…we're gonna use a combination of the Quick Selection tool…along with the Refine Edge command.…And here's how it works.…We'll go ahead and switch to my image in progress,…and then I will zoom in on the eye…so that I can see it up close and personal,…and now, I'll go ahead and grab the Quick Selection tool,…which has a keyboard shortcut of "w"…for the tool that it shares a slot with,…which is the Magic Wand.…
Now, you may wonder, "Why is the Quick Selection tool…"the best tool for this job?"…Well, the reason is that the Magic Wand tool and others…are looking at luminous levels across an image,…and so they tend to select regions of common color.…
