- [Voiceover] In this chapter, we'll scan our…oversized photo and discuss the possible problems…and how to overcome them.…For this lesson, make sure we got open these five files.…Start by looking at 0201 scanning illustration…oversized photo.…Before we scan any large image on a scanner,…we need to ensure best way round to scan that photo.…Working out the minimum amount of scans…and ensuring we can make a 20 percent…overlap between those scans.…
And this way round, for this particular image…it works as per this illustration.…A photo represented here by the blue rectangle…and the red dots are the scanning section.…So we can make just two scans by moving the photo down…and getting our 20 percent overlap.…Now 20 percent overlap is important…for Photoshop stitch feature, or the photo merge feature…to work out the details between those two…overlapping sections, and stitch the image together.…We can do the same with a larger photograph,…we can continue moving the photograph…across the scanner bed making more and more scans,…
