Join Deke McClelland for an in-depth discussion in this video Saving and retrieving graphic objects, part of Photoshop: 2014 Creative Cloud Updates.
- In this movie I'll show you how to use the new…design library feature to save, retrieve and modify…frequently used layers here inside Photoshop.…So the first step of course is to go up to the window menu…and choose the libraries command…to bring up the libraries panel.…Again, your panel may appear in a different position.…Now there's nothing that says I can't add layers…as graphic objects to the same library…that contains colors and styles,…but just to keep things as stream lined as possible…I'm going to create a new library…which I can do at anytime by clicking on this pop up menu…in the upper left corner of the libraries panel…and choosing "create new library."…And then I'll go ahead and…call this library "second library,"…and click on the create button.…
And now I can switch between these two libraries…anytime I'd like just by choosing the desired library…from the list like so.…But I'm going to switch back to my new one.…And then I'm gonna add this layer, the fire up layer,…to this library by clicking on the add graphic icon…
