Sample a color from outside of Photoshop
- [Instructor] Choosing just the right colors for a design or illustration can be difficult. A quick solution is to find an image online or an image that's open in another application on your computer and sample colors from there. For example, you might want to change the color of the red lips in this illustration to match the color of the pink lips that are open in another application on the left. So in Photoshop, click the foreground color box to open the color picker. As long as the color picker is open, you can click in the open image in Photoshop and keep your finger held down on the mouse or other input device as you drag outside of Photoshop and into another image and over a color you like, and then release. In the color picker, you'll see that color here in the new portion of the color box. Click okay, and that pink appears here in the foreground color box in the toolbar.
