- [Instructor] Hello, my name is Chris Orwig, and welcome to another episode of Photo Tools Weekly. In this week's episode we are in Photoshop. And here I want to highlight a few retouching techniques for this photograph. We can see this photograph that I captured. We have this great moment of this diver, and she's framed nicely with these trees in the background, the diving board below, yet if we zoom in, you can see out of focus we have this guy in the background. And if I want to publish this image or sell it as stock I need to get rid of that guy. How in the world are we going to do that? Well what we're going to do is copy the background layer. And I'll go ahead and call this one 'Clean up'. So I'll just double click that layer name and add a new one. Next, tap the L key to choose the lasso tool. Shift L until you get to the lasso, that's just a regular lasso tool. Add a touch of feather. One or two pixels just to soften things up a little bit. We just want to make a rough…
