Join Jan Kabili for an in-depth discussion in this video Resizing your Lightroom photos, part of Photo Tools Weekly (2015).
- Hi, I'm Jan Kabili.…Welcome to Photo Tools Weekly.…In this episode, we're going to talk…about how to resize your Lightroom photos.…Right up front,…I'll remind you that you can't change…the actual size of your original photos through Lightroom,…because that would be destructive editing,…and Lightroom is all about…being non-destructive of your originals.…But what you can do…is to change the size of copies of photos…that you export from Lightroom.…And when you do export,…you want to be sure that you understand…what each resizing export option does.…So, let's have a look.…
Here I have some photos…that were shot as raw photos…by a camera that shoots in a 2x3 aspect ratio.…I'm going to select this vertical photo…and this horizontal photo…and open the Export Dialogue.…There are lots of fields here,…but we're just going to concentrate on a few of them.…I'll go to the "File Settings" section,…and, from the "Image Format" menu,…I'm going to choose JPEG.…Because, in this example,…I'm exporting copies of these photos…for use on my website.…
