Rendering the sky
- [Narrator] This what our scene looks like now, and you might notice that we're still lacking a proper sky in the background. Now I haven't yet introduced a sky in the layers that we created and the light and the colors because the sky is a different kind of animal. You know, you could look at the sky as being an object, namely an atmosphere, that receives light from different light sources and that receives color, and that you could separate both of them, but in fact the sky itself is some sort of light source, and there can be a lot of complex stuff happening in the sky. Just think about a sunset and all the colors that you can see in a nice sunset sky. So it makes absolute sense to create a different, separate folder just to create the effect of a sky, and that's what I'm doing right now. I named the folder Sky, and in this folder I create a new layer, and this is the layer in which our sky will be placed. I am selecting the whole image, Control + A, and I'm using the masks, and…
