Recording a simple but practical action
- [Narrator] In this movie I'll show you how to record a very basic action that allows you to sharpen a flat image file. I'll start things off by moving the actions panel over to the left side of the screen, so I can better see what I am doing. Now just by way of advice, before you record so much as a single operation in your action, you want to make sure that you've saved any changes to your image file. And, that's because you'll need to revert the image before playing the action back to make sure that it works. Now as you can see here, the save command is dimmed, which tells you that I've already saved this image in advance. And, because it's a flat image I went ahead and saved it to the JPEG format. Now I'm going to take that action that I created in the previous movie and I'll once again begin recording it by clicking on the circular record button, at which point the button will turn red to indicate that I'm recording the action.
