- We've explored the save a web command a bit, but let's see what's exactly possible when exporting a gif. Whether you've created your cinemagraph in Photoshop or have used another application, you can still generate the gif. For example, let's take this file here. Here's our cinemagraph, and this was made with Flixel. I'll drag that onto the Photoshop icon and the file opens. Now, I'll choose file, export. We have two choices. Using the export as dialog, you'll see that you have the formats here. Gif is a choice, but you won't have as many options for controlling things. For example, notice it's just going to make it static. So I'll click escape, and instead choose file, export, save for web legacy. Remember, this may take a while to open because it has to invoke a background conversion before it's ready. Be patient as Photoshop processes the existing cinemagraph file. You can then apply any sizing that you want. For example, let's shrink this to half size. From the looping options…
