- [Narrator] In this movie, I want to illustrate…how we can perform even more rapid retouching…so that we can achieve professional level results…without taking a ton of time.…Well, let me talk about how we can do that…first with this image,…and then second, we'll jump to another photograph.…Alright, well with this image, let's say that…what I want to do is decrease the shadows…that we have underneath the eyes.…Well, one of the ways that we can do that…is rather than working on our background layer,…which would mean that we wouldn't have any flexibility…or we couldn't undo what we've done,…we're going to do our retouching on a new layer.…
To do that quickly,…we'll press Shift + Command + N on a Mac…or Shift + Control + N on Windows.…I call my retouching layers R1, two, three, four, five,…whatever it is.…So I just abbreviate.…I always know that that's what it will be,…and then I click OK.…Well, once we have a layer above,…what we can do is select one of our tools.…For example, I'll choose the Healing Brush,…and in the Options bar above,…
