Printing and your workflow
Workflow is a big topic, and there is no ideal workflow that I can say is unequivocally right for everybody. In general though, it's safe to say that a postproduction workflow typically proceeds something like this. You import your images into your computer. Now, you might be importing them into a program like Lightroom or Aperture or iPhoto, or you might simply be copying the images to your hard drive manually and then using a program such as Adobe Bridge to browse through them. Next, you review your images to make your selects. That is, you sift through all of the images that you shot, you find the ones that are good enough to pass through the rest of your workflow, and then you edit those images. Image editing has its own workflow that you follow to work efficiently and to ensure that you're not degrading the quality of your images.
