- [Narrator] So we now want to apply the compositing techniques to create an actual illustration, and the first thing we need for that is a drawing. I've got something prepared here already. This course is not about creating a drawing, but I'd like to talk a little bit about the qualities that you should look for in a drawing in order to use it with compositing techniques. Now compositing is a concept that kind of was developed and invented in the field of 3D graphics. And you might be able to imagine that it's actually pretty easy to have a 3D object and to use different light sources on it, and to render these different light sources in separate images, and then later combine them in compositing. If we're using the compositing techniques in 2D illustration, we have to make sure that all the layers fit together perfectly in order to have a clean final illustration, and in order to achieve that we should make sure to work with a drawing that is really clear and has hard edges, and has…
