- With Twitter, you can decide to upload directly to the Twitter hosting platform, but there are a few rules. Twitter is fine with a GIF and there are some benefits, but an MPEG-4 will also play. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep them fairly short. Both of them should auto-play in loop if you upload directly to Twitter. You can also use Vine, which is Twitter's sharing platform for very short videos. Let's go to Twitter. If I click the camera icon here, I can add a video file. Let's grab the high quality file we made using Apple Compressor. (keyboard clicks) And when ready, I'll click Tweet. Now, you'll notice it takes a little while to process.
