Join Deke McClelland for an in-depth discussion in this video Post-processing type in Camera Raw, part of Photoshop CS5 Extended One-on-One: 3D Type Effects.
In this exercise, we're going to do some post processing inside Camera Raw.…I've saved the final layer 3D composition as Out back somewhere.psd, found inside…the 04_grunge folder.…Now, you may recall, to bring an image into Camera Raw, we have to save a…flat copy of the file.…So go up to the File menu, and choose the Save As command.…Then set the format to TIFF, so that we retain as much detail as possible, turn…off the Alpha channels, and layers check boxes;…that's very important.…
Photoshop will automatically turn on the As a Copy check box.…Then I am going to go ahead and name this file 3D grunge, and that way it'll…appear at the top of the stack for ACR, that is Adobe Camera Raw, and then I'll…click on the Save button in order to save that image.…Inside the TIFF Options dialog box, I'll go ahead and turn on LZW, Pixel Order…should be Interleaved, as by default; Byte Order doesn't matter.…You definitely want Discard layers, and Save a Copy, turned on at the bottom of the dialog box.…
Then go ahead and click OK in order to save that file.…
