- [Instructor] Let us take a look at the image we're going to use for this course. Make sure you've opened the Exercise File stained_color_1. Here we have a color image of two boys that has been badly faded. It has surface damage and scratches, and if you look closely, some staining as well. The sepia tone has hidden the true color of the image which is mostly been caused by sunlight or aging. Te physical damage is wear and tear in the form peeled emotion and scratches. There are some stains that appear to be light moisture damage effecting the colors around the trousers in conjunction with oily fingerprints reacting with paper dyes. We have a broad spectrum of damage to address. To repair such a complex image with so many issues, we'll have to break this down into smaller tasks. It's always a good idea to balance our image and make the color and tone more accurate before we start restoring.
