- [Instructor] Hello friends. This is Chris Orwig. And in this week's episode we are in Photoshop. And here I want to highlight a new feature in Photoshop which helps out with people photography. It gives you the ability to quickly select a subject or subjects in your photographs. Let me show you how it works. I'll be using two photographs here. Start with the one on the left, where we have two people. What I want to do with this image is I want to select our two subjects here and the tree stump that she's standing on. To do that, we could go over and try using our quick select tool but we would have to click and drag and click and drag and click and drag and click and drag to build out the selection. So rather than doing that, whenever you have quick select or magic wand, either one, you'll notice you have a button called select subject. That is the new feature. So we choose the tool.
