- Hello there, I'm Tim Grey, and I'm here to help you learn to feel like and experienced pro in Photoshop. I've been working with Photoshop for many years, and have written over a dozen books and hundreds of magazine articles about this powerful application. I've also spoken at countless seminars and workshops, and produced more than a few video training titles. What that all adds up to is a lot of experience, gaining a very strong understanding of Photoshop. One of things I've found over the years is that photographers have tended to take a somewhat piecemeal approach to learning Photoshop.
The result is that they miss a few key items along the way. Whether you've been using Photoshop for a while or you're just getting started, in this video workshop, I'm going to fill in all the blanks so you can feel confident about your Photoshop skills. I'll start off with an overview of Photoshop, which you can think of as something of a guided tour. I'll show you how to configure Photoshop to suit your needs, and your specific workflow, how to make use of the many controls you'll find while working with your images, how to perform basic image optimization, and much more.
My aim is to help you feel comfortable in Photoshop, to understand where things are and how to use them, and how to always know where you are, and where you're headed. That might sound like a tall order, but I'm going to guide you step-by-step, and share my experience of what is really important, and what you don't need to focus too much energy on. So let's dive in and learn all the fundamentals that will make working with Photoshop more efficient, useful and fun.
