- [Instructor] I'm Dennis Meyer, and I wanna share with you some of the tips and tricks I've picked up over the years collaborating with other designers on larger projects, and the things I wish I had done so that when I open my own work I can easily find exactly what I'm looking for without having to hunt around. In this course I'll explain how to consistently name and organize your layers so that no one has to guess what they are, what they do, and how they're being used. I'll show you how to manage external assets, like linked files and fonts, so that parts of your project don't go missing, or cause error messages to appear.
I'll cover how to simplify and clean up your finished work to keep your file sizes as small as they can be, and I'll give you some tools for that worst case scenario, when you open a file with over a hundred unlabeled layers so that you can make sense of that file, and identify what each layer is doing. In the end, this course will give you options to consider for how to organize your own Photoshop files behind the scenes. That way, if you need to send your work to a collaborator, they can be just as impressed with your organization behind the scenes as they are with your work on the canvas.
Let's get started.
