Pasting smart objects from Illustrator

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to copy a piece of vector based artwork from Adobe Illustrator and then paste it into Photoshop as a Smart Object. And this is a really great feature because it essentially turns Illustrator into a Photoshop plug in. So here we are, looking at a piece of artwork from my Illustrator CC One-on-One Fundamentals course. If you're interested check out Chapter 11, in which I show you how to draw this artwork using nothing more than the Blob brush and a mouse. It's truly amazing how much Illustrator's freeform drawing tools have improved over the last few years. Alright, so if you're working along with me, here we are in Illustrator, at which point you want to go up to the Select menu and choose the All command. Or you can press Control + A here on a PC or Command + A on the Mac and that's going to select all of the unlocked path outlines, meaning that this background, which you can see here in the Layers panel, which is locked, is not getting…
