- Here's our lizard with it's basic texture. Let's switch to that texture so we can carry on adding some more color to it. We can make a new layer above the background. I will call this one Color. Let's zoom out to see the whole thing. Now we can't see what we're going to be painting here. What we can do is go to the 3D menu and say Create a Painting Overlay. And we'll go for a Wireframe. And now, if I move this to the top, you can see the outline of a lizard showing above our texture. We can invert this to make it white, which will make it easier to see. And we can now start to paint directly on this. Alternatively, let's hide that. Go onto our Color layer. And now go back onto the lizard itself. Because we can pick up our paintbrush. Let's select yellow as our foreground color. And now we can paint directly onto this lizard. Even though it's a 3D object, we can paint right onto it. And you'll notice what's interesting here is that we're painting underneath that texture layer. That's…
