- I think for many landscape photographers their favorite season is fall. The amount of color and variety is just above and beyond most other times of year, and I'd have to agree fall photography is my favorite. And one of the things I really want to stress and we talked about was the idea that it's all around us. We don't have to be in New England. We can be in the Evergreen State, my home in Washington, we can be in the deserts of Utah, and there's fall color. So be very open to looking in your own backyard and once you get beyond that there's a world of fall color out there to shoot. Keep in mind wide angle lenses, telephoto lenses, shooting into the water, shooting reflections, ICM, there's just so much that you can do. So it's a really creative pursuit, so it's something I don't think you'll ever tire of. So definitely experiment, keep coming back. Fall color is a little bit different every year.
