- [Voiceover] I'm John Derry. Welcome to Natural-Media Painting in Photoshop. Photoshop is legendary for its compositing and correction capabilities, but did you know that it also excels as a natural-media painting tool? Since CS5, Photoshop has included both the Mixer Brush and Bristle Tips, features that are aimed directly at natural-media painting. Furthermore, you can employ texture to add even greater fidelity to these tools. Combine this with Photoshop's layering capabilities, and you've got a rich, expressive environment in which to work, and in this course, I will familiarize you with these tools, and then we'll paint a still life of grapes on the vine.
We'll additionally take a side trip to look at a unique cloning tool that enables you to use a photograph as your color palette. By the end of this course, you should be able to take advantage of Photoshop's natural-media features to create your own artwork. Now, join me, and let's get started with Natural-Media Painting in Photoshop.
